The Worry Paradox

A talk for parent groups

worry (lower-case) has a way of turning into Worry (upper-case) in the blink of an eye. This upper-case Worry causes children to fret about unlikely scenarios and shrink away from routine challenges. As it grows, Worry begins to hold entire families hostage. But upper-case Worry is predictable – even manageable – once you understand its tricks. In this talk by child psychologist and best-selling author Dr. Dawn Huebner, parents of 5-12 year-olds will learn to interrupt the patterns that keep anxiety going along with strategies to help their children break free. There will be time for Q&A following the talk.

Length: 90 minutes
